Research

This is a side project focused on high-resolution imaging of geological thin sections. I apply confocal reflection microscopy to reveal mineral texture, grain orientation, and microcrack structure in rocks. The goal is to adapt advanced biological imaging techniques to earth science questions, producing datasets that are hard to obtain with classical petrographic tools alone.
